Data API

The Data API exposes read-only TAO and subnet data under the public https://api.tao.com/data/v1/... namespace. No authentication is required. Responses use HAL JSON links and schemas documented in the OpenAPI reference.

Use it for account activity, market and network displays, subnet discovery, validator metadata, and lightweight analytics that need the same public API surface as future TAO services.

Network stats	GET /data/v1/network/stats/latest	Current network-level totals, volume, staking, and registration-cost fields.
Subnet pools	GET /data/v1/subnet-pools/latest, GET /data/v1/subnet-pools/history	dTAO pool snapshots and historical subnet alpha pricing.
Subnet emissions	GET /data/v1/subnet-emissions/latest	Current per-subnet emission breakdowns.
Subnets	GET /data/v1/subnets/latest, GET /data/v1/subnets/{netuid}/validators/latest, GET /data/v1/subnets/{netuid}/holders/top, GET /data/v1/bittensor/subnets, GET /data/v1/bittensor/subnets/{netuid}, GET /data/v1/bittensor/subnets/{netuid}/prices	Subnet summaries, discovery, detail, price candles, validator data, and top alpha holders.

Authentication

No authentication or Authorization header is required for Data API requests. Rate limits still apply; handle 429 Too Many Requests using the returned retry and rate-limit headers.
